BS Major in CSIS
1999-04: Sample Course Sequence
The definitive source for program requirements is the UVM Catalog.Your specific sequence may be different from this one. Responsibility for completion of degree requirements rests with you, the student. Read the catalog and plan your course sequence carefully. Note prerequisites. Contact your academic advisor in the Computer Science Department if you have questions. The minimum number of academic credits required is 126 plus 2 PEAC credits = 128. This "typical" program shows 126 academic credits. You must add in the 2 PEAC credits. |

1MATH: MATH 21,22 (in place of MATH 19,20) recommended for the most flexibility in switching degree programs. Also, certain higher level CS elective courses (eg. Computer Graphics) and sciences (eg. Physics 31/21) have prerequisites that require MATH 21, 22. 2Science requirement: One laboratory science sequence selected from the following three: Biology 1,2; Chemistry 31, 32; Physics 31 with 21, 42 with 22; 3Electives: See requirements for Distributional Electives from the BSAD General Education Requirements lists, and Race Relations electives and Free Electives. PEAC credits are not shown in this program and are not included in the "Electives" credits. Keep in mind that most courses are 3 credits, so it is likely that one will need to take a full 3 credit course even if only 2 more credits are actually required. |
