Administration Tool: Cipher Suites

Panel Description

Documentation Contents / Documentation Index / Glossary / Administration Tool Help

Note: Cipher Suites are only available in builds that include Secure Sockets Layer (SSL).
To access the Cipher Suites screen, the Secure Service must be enabled.

Purpose
A cipher suite is a set of encryption algorithms to protect data exchanged between the client browser and the server. The server chooses from enabled cipher suites when negotiating a secure connection to a client -- making the choice based on which authentication schemes are enabled, and which enabled cipher suites the server and client have in common.

The Ciphers panel enables you to choose which cipher suites to enable in your server.
